Why Era built Zeplyn
Era Jain founded Zeplyn AI in 2024 after observing how compliance bottlenecks were costing independent advisory firms time and money — and, sometimes, regulatory exposure. Her background in consumer fintech and AI engineering led her to believe the right approach wasn't more checklists, but intelligent review that understood what the rules actually require.
Independent advisors are often subject to the same SEC and FINRA requirements as much larger firms, but without the compliance staff to match. Zeplyn's goal is to close that gap with technology that's specific enough to be useful — not a generic document scanner, but a system that knows what SEC Rule 206(4)-1 requires and applies that knowledge consistently.
